On December 7, 2021, a forum was held at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow nobel vision. Open Innovations 2.0. The forum was attended by laureates of prestigious scientific awards, including Nobel Prize winners. Representatives of authorities, innovative business, top managers of leading Russian and international corporations and other experts also made presentations.
The Nobel Vision Forum is a continuation of the annual Open Innovations Forum, which has become one of the leading discussion platforms on the topic of innovative technologies in the Russian and world scientific community over the nine years of its operation. The Forum is one of the official events of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia.
The main topic of the forum this year is Discovering NextTech ("Discovering the technologies of the future").
The discussions that took place during the forum were divided into four thematic blocks: Pandemic (investment structure, sales and market shares and development strategies in a pandemic), ESG (sustainable development, ecology, green energy), Quality of life (human-centeredness, urbanism, digital services ), FutureTech (artificial intelligence, new materials and technologies).
Igor Leonidovich Demidov, Chairman of the Board of the Association of RM and REE, made a report “On the goals, objectives and current results of the implementation of the Rare and Rare Earth Metals product line”.
“Rare and rare-earth metals are a new raw material base for the modern economy, the use of RZM will make it possible to make a technological breakthrough in world industrial development,” I.L. began his report. Demidov. Therefore, Russia should not remain aloof from these trends in the presence of a rich resource base. “The strategic goal of the Russian Federation by 2030 is to become one of the significant global players in the RM and REE market, with unconditional 100% import substitution in this industry,” added Demidov. In addition, I.L. Demidov noted that at the moment the state provides support for the development of this industry, including changes in legislation and the provision of measures that financially stimulate new production and development of deposits. The RM and REE Association is the center of competence for the maintenance and implementation of the Roadmap in the direction of RM and REE. Therefore, it is necessary to get involved as quickly as possible in the construction of specific facilities that ensure the supply of rare-earth metals both within the Russian Federation and abroad. Igor Leonidovich added that the RM and REE Association is ready to provide market participants with all the necessary support on issues of interaction with executive authorities, participation in government regulation, in conducting market, technological and business expertise of new promising projects, as well as in creating an ecosystem, attracting new participants industries and coordination of their interaction.
